Rara Lake: Nepal’s Largest and Most Pristine Alpine Lake
Rara Lake, or Rara Tal, is the largest freshwater lake in Nepal, located within the Rara National Park in Mugu District of Karnali Province. Surrounded by lush alpine forests and the snowcapped peaks of the Himalayas, Rara Lake sits at an altitude of 2,990 meters (9,810 feet) and spans an area of 10.8 square kilometers.
