Introduction

B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), located in Dharan, Sunsari District, is a leading autonomous health sciences university in Nepal. Established on January 18, 1993, and named after Nepal’s first democratically elected Prime Minister, Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala, BPKIHS was envisioned as a center of excellence for medical education, healthcare services, and research.
